Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) has been a part of the Mexican culture for over 3000 years.  The holiday focuses on the gathering of family and friends to honor those who have died.  Janice choose this date because of her Mexican heritage.  It was a day to bring everyone together to both remember those who have passed and to celebrate the beginning of her new family. The College of Physicians of Philadelphia celebrates this holiday every year.  The downstairs rotunda was covered in Picado banners.  Earlier in the day visitors of the college created and donated handmade flowers to the wedding. The upstairs décor was black, white, and red.  We had makeup artist come in to do all of the CBD staffs faces. Lesly made a beautiful wedding cake and 135 miniature ones to match. It was a wedding full of tradition, celebration, and a whole lot of fun.
